Kristine from Michigan became the Vasa Museum's 30 millionth visitor.
Hardly had the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of Vasa’s salvage concluded when the Museum welcomed its 30 millionth visitor.
The 26:th of April 2011, at eight minutes past one, American Kristine Herb from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, stepped through the doors of the Vasa Museum and became the 30 millionth visitor since 1961. She was greeted with flowers, a coffee table book and an exclusive visit on board Vasa with her boyfriend Travis Howe.
- Wow! This is my lucky day! It is my first time in Stockholm, the city is amazing. I meet friendly people everywhere, it's clean and beautiful and you also have this unique ship!, exclaims Kristine. She and Travis are working with World Select's Invitational - an international ice hockey tournament - and a "mini Olympics" for children and adolescents.
- The kids play hockey and make friends from all over the world, but we also try to teach them about the places we visit as well. The Vasa Museum was an obvious place to visit.
