Our meal philosophy

The Vasa ship must be one of the most Swedish things there is, so it is only natural that our guests from both near and far, many of them from abroad, expect us to make Swedish food.

Local farmers and producers

Since it is a great honour to represent the Swedish food tradition, we are very careful to choose the best raw ingredients. To do this, we collaborate with local farmers and producers. This means that we can offer you not only the best flavour experience, but also the satisfaction of participating in a transaction that supports a better and more sustainable climate.

Tastier, more nutritious and more environmentally conscious

At the Vasa Restaurant, we are considerate of both the environment and animals, so our meat, vegetables and dairy products are locally produced and for the most part ecologically grown. We are even working on offering a large selection on ecological wines, and our coffee is always ecological. We are also careful to make sure that our transportation, packaging, cleaning and other operations have as small an environmental impact as possible.

In the future, we hope to be able to increase our use of environmentally considerate raw materials and to decrease harmful emissions related to transport to the restaurant.
