The Vasa Rediviva Foundation was established in 1960 to collect money and channel contributions to the salvage and care of the ship Vasa from 1628.

Construction start for the warship Vasa’s new support structure

began on the new support structure for the warship Vasa. The 17 pairs of external cradle elements currently in place will be replaced with 27 specially designed steel cradles, with a joint under the keel.
